Retaining Wall – Green Terramesh

Construction of a large Green Terramesh Wall with a lenght of 44m and an average height of 5m. This project was the result of an innovative design by a local Civil Engineering Consultant to repair a major slip to a property after the December 2011 Rainfall events.

This was an extremely challenging site due to the access that was avaiable, the very steep topograpghy of the site and confinement. Small excavators had to be used and a track benched in from the below the site to enable a safe working platform to tie the structure and soil together. Existing slip materials were used as fill on the Terramesh wall as well as a volume of imported material. Sediment controls were put in place below the site to protect a waterway.
